Intersegmental
Traction Therapy
-
Intersegmental traction therapy is a procedure in which the patient lies on their back on a table (commonly referred to as a ”roller table”) that has three rotating or spinning rollers that gently move up and down on either side of the spine, helping to stretch and relax muscles and relieve pressure on the nerves. The rolling contact is constant, works electronically, and is very relaxing. It feels like waves of massage cascading up and down your spine.
-
During treatment, you will lie comfortably on your back on an intersegmental traction table. The table contains a series of rollers that move gently along either side of the spine, creating a rhythmic, massage-like motion.
A pillow may be placed beneath your knees for additional comfort, and the pressure can be adjusted based on your preferences and needs.
Many patients find the treatment relaxing and enjoy the gentle stretching and movement provided by the table.
