Whole Body
Vibration Therapy
-
Whole Body Vibration Therapy (WBV) is a low-impact rehabilitation and fitness therapy that uses gentle vibrations to stimulate muscles throughout the body.
Because it requires minimal impact on the joints, WBV may be a helpful option for individuals who are experiencing discomfort, limited mobility, or difficulty performing traditional exercise.
Today, Whole Body Vibration Therapy is used in rehabilitation, fitness, and wellness settings to help support strength, balance, mobility, and overall physical function.
-
During treatment, patients stand, sit, or perform specific exercises on a platform that produces controlled vibrations.
These vibrations cause muscles to respond with rapid, automatic contractions, allowing multiple muscle groups to be engaged during the session.
Some patients simply stand on the platform to experience passive vibration, while others perform guided exercises to target specific rehabilitation or fitness goals.
Sessions are customized based on the patient's needs, comfort level, and treatment objectives.
